What counts as a 'minor edit'?
Text changes, images, prices, contact numbers, adding/removing list items, small color or typography tweaks, icon swaps. What does NOT count: large new sections, third-party integrations, full redesigns — those are billed hourly ($35/h) or quoted separately.
What if my site wasn't built by you?
We evaluate it first. If it's on a stack we handle (Next.js, React, Astro, vanilla HTML/JS) we take the contract. If it's on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or another proprietary builder — we pass and recommend someone who can. The reason: we can't promise uptime on code we don't control.
What if something breaks during an update?
We have a weekly backup and staging environment — updates are tested before touching production. If something breaks in production, we roll it back in under 1h and fix the issue in the next release. No extra charge, it's part of the plan.
Can I cancel?
Whenever you want, no penalty. We hand over the code + hosting access + domain, all in your name. We retain nothing — you're always the owner. If you cancel and later want to come back, the plan reactivates with no onboarding fee.
Why $40 flat? Other agencies charge more.
Because we have our own automation. We monitor 20+ sites with the same dashboard, updates run through a pipeline, backups are automatic. The marginal cost of an extra site is low. We charge cost + a reasonable margin — not what the market tolerates.
Does it include SEO?
Maintenance keeps your technical SEO healthy (Core Web Vitals, schema, updated sitemap). But if you want active SEO work — keyword optimization, new content, link building — that's our separate local SEO service ($400 setup + $40/mo included in maintenance).
